How will we begin our analysis?
Very simple, we will start by focusing on the rival's game system, that is, on the spatial occupations that it has both in attack and defense, in order to predict how our rival will act). Next we will move on to the observation phase.
What will the observation phase consist of?
The observation phase consists mainly of contrasting our game system with that of the rival, in this way we will be able to see where and in what situations we will be able to play with an advantage and in which we will find ourselves in trouble.
Once we have thoroughly analyzed and we know what structure the rival adopts in offensive and defensive phases, we can begin to carry out the detailed analysis, it is nothing more than focusing on the more repetitive mechanics and ways of playing where the opponent falls for comfort. collective within the game situation.
Having all this data collection (after having done the analysis) we can focus on the game situations that the rival can do.
- Offensive phase:
- Starting zone, in this we can observe the different ways to start the play that the rival has, whether playing long, short or if there are players who are close to the ball or are further away.
- Progression zone, here we will analyze all the patterns that are most repeated in this zone. (We explain it in more detail in the video)
- Completion zone, in this zone (used for what its name indicates) we will be able to observe what behaviors our rivals constantly repeat.
- Defensive phase:
- Tall block
- 1v1 matchmaking
- In intermediate
In addition, it should be noted that players are the most determinants in the rival team, both on a defensive or offensive level, and analyze in that situations and spaces appear more, either by defensive and offensive phase. When you already have this you must know if they have superiority at physical, qualitative levels or there is any association between several players which would call socio-ofective superiority.
Set pieces
📌 During the defensive phase we can defend in three completely different ways:
📌 Marking the man.
📌 Area marking.
📌 Defense in mixed way.
What should we analyze in the defensive phase of the match?
The most used moves or strategies of the rival, thanks to this we will be able to work on ways to counteract this type of situation in training in this way we will anticipate this and have a tactical advantage.
We will not win a game by analyzing the rival, but it is always good to have the maximum number of tools (and know how to use them) at hand, so that the life of our team is easier and that the whole team is closer to victory, since we will know where to do damage to the rival and defend ourselves from their strong points.
