Football 7 VS Football 11: Know the main differences

What is football 7?

We are talking about a sport derived from football in which groups are made up of 7 players, hence its name. In soccer 7 almost everything is regulated, and these rigorous rules are used in all the nations where it is practiced. In addition, they remain famous for the Royal Spanish Football Federation.

Each team's squad can be made up of up to twelve players. All of them will be able to participate throughout the game while the changes are made. The shoes used in soccer 7 must have smooth soles, the use of boots with studs being strictly prohibited. The 7-a-side football fields have the possibility of being both outdoors and indoors, however, in both cases the playing field will be made of artificial turf.

The referee is responsible for enforcing the rules, managing to admonish the players with yellow and red cards. In the event that the referee shows 2 yellow cards to the same player in the course of a match, he will leave the game lot for only 2 minutes, managing to be replaced during that time by another player.
If the referee shows the red card to a footballer, he will be sent off instantly without having the option to re-enter the field, and also the accessories will have to wait 2 minutes to replace him. The fouls called by the referee are accumulated, in such a way that once the teams have 6 they must throw an independent shot.

Rules that differentiate football 7 from football 11

The first difference can be discovered in the measurements of the game lot. The radius of the central circle in soccer 7 is 6 meters and in soccer 11 it is 9.15 meters. In addition, the distance between the goal posts and its measurements are also different in each modality. The measurements of the goal, penalty and corner area also vary from one style of play to another.

The rule that speaks of the ball suggests the maximum and minimum circumference that it should have in soccer 7, which is different in soccer 11.

7 players make up all football 7 teams, of which one of them will be the goalkeeper. There must always be at least 5 players in the game lot, and in the event that this does not happen, the match will end with the opposing team being proclaimed the winner.

In soccer 7 they have the possibility of being summoned up to a greater than twelve players, of which 5 are substitutes who will be able to enter and leave once their instructor and with the permission of the referee occupy it in this way. In football 11 is played with eleven players, of which one acts as goalkeeper. There are 7 substitutes, however only 5 have the possibility to enter the field to replace other players. The substituted footballer will never be able to return to the game lot.

Line judges are not compulsory in 7-a-side football. However, in 11-a-side football there are always 2, in addition to a fourth referee. The duration of the match is also different in each modality, as well as the distance of the kick-off, the free throws, the penalty and the corner kick.

In the offside you can see a fairly clear difference. In 7-a-side football, an offside is generated on the line that is twelve meters from the bottom line, but outside of it it does not exist. In 11-a-side football, the ball is delegated to mark the offside position continuously as long as the player is in his own field.
