Exercise for Physical Component Coaches 2v1 + 2v2

GOALS: Work on the conditional aspect of the player.

DEFENSIVES: Avoid the goal.

OFFENSIVES: Score goal.

DIMENSIONS: Half 11-a-side football field.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS: The whole team. 4 players come out at the same time.

MATERIAL: Balls, bibs, spikes, fences and extra 11-a-side soccer goal.

TIME: Each player has to go through each post 2 times.

RULES: Perform the conditional work at a high intensity without skipping any part of the circuit. When finishing, prioritize placement over power.

TASK DEVELOPMENT: The task has 4 posts where 4 players come out at the same time, 2 from each team.

  • Post A performs a jump with legs together to the right + left + front, catches the ball and makes a change of orientation to post C to start defending a 2v1 at the nearest goal.
  • Post B makes 2 jumps with legs together, receives the ball from the goalkeeper and drives + finishes.
  • Post C runs to the cone on the left, returns to the middle cone, goes to the cone on the right, returns to the middle and receives the ball from post A to play a 2v1 with his teammate from post D.
  • Post D does a fence jump + zigzag and plays a 2v1 with his partner from post C.

The players of posts C and D must finish quickly, since the player of post B, once the action has finished, will go on to defend helping his teammate. From here, once the attack is over, the coach will throw an aerial ball to the center of the field and they will play 2v2.

As for the rotations, they will be between A-B and C-D. When they have passed through A and B twice, the task will stop and they will change stations to act in C and D.
