To start preparing the week's training sessions, you have to know how to structure them based on the information we have about the rival.
Once you have this information about the rival and you have carried out this prior analysis of the different phases of their game, and also what their most repetitive behaviors are and what their idea of the game is. From there we have to try to make a mix between our way of playing and that of the rival, in order to be able to counteract it.

How to distribute training
If your team trains 3 days a week, what we will do is perform the exercises from least to greatest complexity.
- That is, we will begin the week by performing smaller exercises, where more sectoral situations of 1 line or intersectoral situations of 2 lines are generated.
- In the middle of the week it would be convenient to start doing exercises with more general situations that we may encounter in the game.
- Looking ahead to the last day of training before the match, we will focus more on executing more active situations, with set-piece situations and placing more emphasis on those situations that are most important when working on a match. It is important that you have your weekly workouts as structured as possible.
Aspects to take into account to develop a game plan
Time
It is essential to determine the times you want to take in the game. I propose that it be done in 20' strips in the first part, enough time for the rival to adapt to what you propose and hurt him by changing the subsequent strategy. In the second part in 15' blocks because the possibility of introducing changes in the formation makes modifications easier.
Block height
Determine at what height the forwards are going to be to pressure the rival defensive line and determine at what height our defenders are going to be to establish the space that we will leave behind. We will define the midfield line if they will be staggered and closer to forwards or closer to defenders.
Intensity
The intensity at which we want our players to press. If we want to cause errors or steal. If we want the opponent to play comfortably in a certain part of the field, in which areas am I going to be more intense, at what moment should I jump under pressure...
Union of lines
Define the distance between lines in the defensive moment. A short or long team.
Definition of attack
Define how I am going to hurt the opponent once I recover the ball.
