Trainer exercise. Transitions in Soccer

TITLE: TRANSITIONS

MATERIAL: BITES, CHINESES, BALLS

SPACE: 80x55

DURATION: 2 SERIES OF 8 MINS. THEN ROLE CHANGE

DESCRIPTION: We play 11vs11 in 2 spaces. A team initially attacks a

8 vs 7 structure in 1 zone, and in the other they are waiting 2vs3. It's about the blues scoring a goal

in positional attack and if red recovers the ball, look for loose players in the other zone and

attack the other goal quickly. As a provocation rule, 1 or 2 players are allowed

blues enter the previous zone to compensate for the inferiority of the 2 center backs to the 3

attackers.

GOALS:

BLUE

  • identify free man
  • compensators: pivot or lateral weak side, or both
  • relationship distances
  • pressure after loss

RED

  • recognize yourself as the first recipient
  • fast passing lanes (short transitions in time)
  • off the hook they break into space or come to the active zone
  • finish plays avoid disorder.
